It was convenient to the beach, but a little off the beaten path. One hotel was closed on the street to the beach across from an empty lot and I hated walking down there alone, so I didn't venture out as often.
it rained and there wasn't any cable - so staying indoors was not fun. it's not like a big hotel where you could go to the lobby or restaurant, or rent a movie.
Very friendly, great pool area, close to the Beach would definitely stay there again.
Tv could be better
Very pleasant property--Good stay.
Innkeepers can be abrupt.
Quiet, Relaxing, Clean and Classy! If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle it's a very friendly and relaxing place to be. Would definately stay here again if visiting Fort Lauderdale and would recommend to others visiting the area.
Nothing we didn't like. It was perfect and more than expected!
We had a pleasant experience with the owner of the resort, very friendly and helpful. Nice little quaint resort, quiet and perfect for a little weekend getaway stay.
We had a few bugs in the room, not sure if this is typical due to the Florida climate.
Cocobelle had the "old Florida" look and feel and we really enjoyed that!! It was like an apartment, not a hotel room. Very nice and accomodating!
We stayed at the Cocobelle for one night after a cruise vacation. It is a lovely, extremely immaculate motel. It is a very close cab ride from the cruise port also. We were most impressed with how clean and updated this 16 room Boutique hotel was. The rooms were spacious and very bright. The pool was exceptionally clean and surrounded by beautiful tropical folliage. We walked to the beach three times during our almost two day stay which was about two-three blocks. It was a nice walk and you were at all the shops, restaurants and bustle of A1A, but then a short walk back to solitude. The owner has complimentary beach chairs, towels, umbrella's, sunscreen and even pool/beach toys if you need them. Very nice stay.
There was not an ice machine but some rooms do have mini refrigerators with ice cube trays. Also was unable to get a late check out which would have been nice as our flight was not until evening and we had to be out by 1100 am. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel while we went to the beach.
Although only there two nights, my husband and I both agreed it was a very nice place to stay, and would be especially nice if we ever came back for a long term visit. The room was like an apartment, with separate bedroom area, nice, clean bathrooms, full kitchen and dining area. There were no rowdy Sping breakers either. Pool area was nice too. Plus the free washer & dryer was pretty unexpected. The place has a "Melrose Place" feel to it if anyone knows what I mean by that.
Everything was neat and tidy, the owner was very helpful and humouous. It was a pleasure being there.
I think a continental breakfast would have been nice.
We stayed in a very comfortable, clean, well-kept suite. Lovely pool, excellent location. The hotel looks pretty low-key from outside, but is delightful once you enter the gate!
Relaxing by the Cocobelle pool. Visiting nearby Ft Lauderdale beaches, restaurants and people watching.
Pool area was nice - but we could not use it because of the cold weather we experienced while there!
Lobby needs updating - musty smelling and cluttered. Owner was not very personable. Rooms were just okay - furniture & wall decor was older and could definitely use updating. Only pedestal sinks in bathroom - no counter for toiletries. Showers could use a hand rail for those that need it. Cold floors - no carpet.
Very clean and big room and a good location. Everything managed well by the owner.
During our 10 days stay there were 2 nights when some of the guests were very loud. I suppose they were checking out, but they did it very loud for a long time. We woke up many times, as they were speaking quite loud, and the longest noisy time was from 4 to 5 in the early morning... But still it is a good hotel!
Clean, next to the beach.
There was a menu next to the tv written "room service" and "until 11 pm". We asked for a lasagna at 10h30 pm. The delivery got there about 11h10 - 11h20 pm. The owner got realy angry, told us that we should open the main door, cause he had to wake up and do it. So he should not call this service "room service until 11 pm". He should call "Gate service" or "street service". He was very rude and from that day my stay at Cocobelle was ruined. Sorry for my bad english.
Ernest & Dorothy were super host's ! My girlfriend was very impressed as was I, as to the cleanliness of our room, and very nice and comfortable. It was about 100 meters from the beach, but the price was much more reasonable, than others on a1 A. We will definitely be returning there in the future,as we live about a 4 hour drive further up the coast in Ponce Inlet. We stayed for 2 nights, and really found nothing wrong with the place, as I said we'll be back ! Dave c & Cheryn c .
Nothing ! Everything was fine, we will be back again ! Dave c - Ponce Inlet Florida.
